Thermo King Eastern Canada sells services and reconditions all major brands of transport equipment to manage temperature control environments for food and other perishables. We are a fast-growing company looking to add an additional, and exceptional, Parts Advisor to join our winning team.

This role is perfect for motivated and self-driven candidates that have a knack for assisting mechanics and customers in purchasing needed parts and supplies.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Supervise shop and mobile inventory, storage, tracking and specifications
  • Safeguard inventory against shrinkage and spot check inventories on a regular basis
  • Order parts in line with operational needs and chase suppliers
  • Deal with customer needs face-to-face and over the phone with a professional and friendly approach
  • Handle returns from TK Corp and from local vendors
  • Responsible for getting cores shipped back monthly
  • Source non-stock parts for service jobs
  • Supports technicians and service advisors in securing required parts in order to complete work orders
  • Oversee and compile mobile and shop paperwork on a daily basis to ensure accuracy of the information being recorded
  • Approving inventory purchases and receiving inventory before it’s utilized
  • Safeguard inventory against shrinkage
  • Identify warranty repairs and charge backs to OEM’s with support of Service Department
  • Maintaining the company’s WHIMIS program

The successful candidate will have …

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of previous trucking/automotive industry required
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience leading a team
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in the Parts Department is a must
  • G License (picking up and delivering parts is required)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
