Thermo King Eastern Canada sells services and reconditions all major brands of transport equipment to manage temperature control environments for food and other perishables. We are a fast-growing company looking to add an additional, and exceptional, Parts Manager to join our winning team.

The Parts Manager will be responsible for working with customers (internal/external) in a fast-paced parts department with important consideration for sensitive time and temperature needs. The Parts Manager will oversee the parts division for Thermo King Reefer units and will manage the parts team.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Manage the overall dealer inventory and parts department.
  • Prepare and perform yearly performance reviews.
  • Onboard and train new employees in the parts department.
  • Ensure department paperwork is processed on a timely basis.
  • Maintain organized files, records, logs.
  • Support staff and direct floor activity with the aim of providing excellent customer service.
  • Place bi-weekly stock-orders.
  • Oversee proper shipping and receiving of orders.
  • Manage obsolete stock and handle returns from TK Corp and from local vendors.
  • Perform, supervise, and support parts billing activities.
  • Oversee warranty returns processes.
  • Monitor parts consumption/usage to ensure adequate supplies are on hand.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customer order fulfilment and follow-up.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will have …

  • College program in logistics, inventory/purchasing or equivalent preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Transportation Industry and temperature control equipment.
  • Previous experience in a parts department (Automotive, OEM, trucking/transportation).
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience leading a team.
  • Health and Safety Experience (preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
