After more than three years the east coast trucking industry was bustling again, showcasing the latest solutions and innovations at this year’s Atlantic Transportation and Logistics Show, and Thermo King Eastern Canada was excited to be exhibiting at this important industry event.
We had the pleasure of showcasing our ‘green’ eco-friendly solutions ranging from portable and autonomous refrigerated and heated containers for catering and delivery vans, fully-electric refrigeration units for medium-size vans and trucks, to the latest diesel electric transport trailer solutions. As always our product specialists were on hand to answer questions and provide insights on these and other solutions that serve the transport temperature control industry.

Precedent® S-750i Trailer Platform Series
The Precedent® S-750i once again took centre stage for everyone who visited our booth. At a time when many logistics providers are looking to lower their carbon footprint, Thermo King’s diesel electrical trailer refrigeration unit is designed for transport fleets, retailers, and pharmaceutical companies who are searching for efficient electrified power solutions. It was a pleasure to see customers and industry partners eager to discover how they could add this technology to their trailer fleet.
Connected Suite
Data is driving key decision-making in the trucking industry and Telematics was a hot topic at the show. In a competitive market that deals with the transport of perishable products, our customer’s were pleased to know that they had immediate visibility to any issue in their fleet, at any time. From the new S-750i platform and across our complete line of temperature control solutions, ConnectedSuite™ Telematics opens a window into the real-time operations of our customers fleet operations.
Coldtainer
Our Coldtainer portable refrigerated and heated containers were an immediate attention grabber at the show. With their low energy consumption, light-weight specs and various sizings options, many of our visitors were impressed with their applications for food, pharma, logistics and even recreational use. Some ‘thirsty’ visitors received a cold beverage that was kept perfectly chilled in the Coldtainers during the show.
Power Management
Booth visitors were eager to discuss back-up support and charging solutions that our Thermolite Solar Panels offer to their overall power management requirements. Our product specialist discussed the cost savings potential and unique business applications of these ‘green’ solutions. They learned how Thermolite panels could not only improve battery life, but reduce fuel consumption and lower emissions across their diesel and gas powered fleet equipment.
TriPac® Evolution
The trucking industry is aware that driver comfort increases when you install an auxiliary power unit (APU), not to mention better driver recruitment/retention, idle reduction, lowered maintenance costs and higher tractor residual values. With such a list of real world benefits, the TriPac® Evolution APU was at the show and drawing attention. Our product specialists were there to answer questions and discuss timelines for implementation with interested visitors. Not appearing at the show was TriPac®’s Envidia all-electric APU – a notable contender to the Evolution diesel APU.
